International choreography contest New dances

The 5th to the 6th of February 2011,
within the 20TH KAJAANI DANCE FESTIVAL, FINLAND.

Competition rules
Any modern, contemporary, freestyle or current trends choreographer is eligible to enter. They may be professional or novice, with no limits except that choreography should be for group – at least 2 dancers. Participation is open to all of any nationality

Series

• A) Choreographies of Dance pupils to dancers age 12 to 18.
• B) Choreographies for under 12 years old dancers - Child Dance Choreographies of choreographers, dance teachers and professionals.
• C) Choreographies for dancers between ages 12 and 18 - Choreographies of choreographers, dance teachers and professionals.
• D) Choreographies for dancers over 18-years old - Choreographies of choreographers, dance teachers and professionals. E) Choreographies for professional dancers and students studying in vocational institute - Choreographies of choreographers, dance teachers and professionals

Participation is open to choreographers of any nationality to perform original pieces or pieces created after 1st January of 2005

The duration
The duration of the performance must be more than 2 minutes but not over 10 minutes.

Prize
Prize money is 3333 €. Best choreographies reward by money.

Timetable and report form
The deadline for send the videos and documentation shall be the 16th DECEMBER 2009.
* Send video cassette tape VHS in PAL, DVD or mini-DV.
*The title of the piece and name of the choreographer are to appear on the video cassette and its cover.
* The choreographers shall send a videotape with a recording of the whole piece (without cuts and from a fixed pan shot), with all the performers.
* The recording is to contain the final piece and all the features of its set. Once the selection has been carried out, no changes shall be allowed to the basic structure of the choreography or the set used.

The organisation shall notify the results of the selection after the 6th JANUARY 2010.
